  • Walnut Street Bridge
    Chattanooga, TN

    One of the longest pedestrian bridges in the world, connecting downtown to the North Shore over the Tennessee River. The views are beautiful and the walk drops you right into Frazier Avenue. Note: The bridge underwent a full restoration and reopened in late September 2026 — fully back in action for the wedding.

  • Hunter Museum of American Art
    10 Bluff View Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37403

    Perched on an 80-foot limestone bluff overlooking the Tennessee River, the Hunter houses one of the finest collections of American art in the Southeast — nearly 3,000 works across three architecturally distinct buildings. The outdoor sculpture garden and river views alone are worth the visit. Accessible via the glass pedestrian bridge from the Walnut Street Bridge.

  • Bluff View Art District
    Bluff View Ave & High St, Chattanooga, TN 37403

    Chattanooga's first art district, perched on stone cliffs above the Tennessee River with sweeping views of the water and the Walnut Street Bridge. Home to Rembrandt's Coffee House, Tony's Pasta Shop, River Gallery, and the Bluff View Bakery — all under the same ownership, all excellent. Also home to The Edwin Hotel, where our room block is and our after party takes place.

  • Coolidge Park
    150 River St, Chattanooga, TN 37405

    A beautiful riverfront park on the North Shore, right behind Clumpie's. Grab a sandwich from River Street Deli, pick up a scoop, and sit by the water. Antique carousel, open green space, easy river access — quintessential Chattanooga.

  • Signal Point
    116 Signal Point Rd, Signal Mountain, TN 37377

    The spot that gave Signal Mountain its name — used by Native Americans for centuries to send smoke signals across the Tennessee Valley, and later by Union soldiers as their most critical communications post during the Civil War siege of Chattanooga. Today it's a National Park unit with one of the most breathtaking overlooks in the region. The short trail to the point is our favorite hike — not strenuous, with an unreal view of the Tennessee River Gorge below.

  • Lookout Mountain & Point Park
    East Brow Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350

    Site of the "Battle Above the Clouds," where Union forces defeated the Confederates on the mountain in November 1863. Point Park preserves the battlefield with stunning views of Moccasin Bend and the river. Ride the 125-year-old Incline Railway up from St. Elmo — one of the world's steepest passenger railways and a Chattanooga institution. The brow road drive is beautiful, and Rock City is genuinely worth a visit.

  • Cloudland Canyon State Park
    122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd, Rising Fawn, GA 30738

    One of our absolute favorites — a must-do day trip. Drive up through the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain and head to Cloudland Canyon, one of the most scenic state parks in Georgia. We recommend the Waterfalls Trail: 1.8 miles round trip down into the canyon to two beautiful waterfalls via hundreds of steep metal stairs. Short, challenging, and gorgeous. Walk the main overlook after, then drive back through the Tennessee side and stop for lunch at the café on the mountain.

    An authentic New York-style deli and North Shore institution since 1998. Incredible sandwiches on fresh-baked bread with rotating daily specials. Order and walk straight to Coolidge Park to eat by the water. A true hole-in-the-wall — don't miss it.

    A Chattanooga institution since 1999. Small-batch, handcrafted ice cream made entirely in-house. The North Shore flagship on Frazier Avenue backs right up to Coolidge Park. Get a scoop, take a stroll. Non-negotiable.

    More than a grocery run — the North Shore Whole Foods has a beautiful outdoor patio and green space perfect for grabbing a prepared meal and eating outside. Great for stocking up before a hike up Signal Mountain or a lazy outdoor lunch between exploring.

    A beloved neighborhood café in a 1930s bungalow on Hanover Street. Russ gets the Cali Club with extra peppercorn sauce on the side, Claire gets the turkey melt. Get a homemade dessert and order the iced mint tea. A cozy local gem.

    A Michelin-recognized bar and restaurant in a charming 1920s cottage with a beautiful garden patio. Appalachian-inspired dishes, excellent craft cocktails, and thoughtful NA options — everything can be made gluten-free. One of our favorite spots in the city.

    A Chattanooga staple in the former carriage house of a Victorian mansion in Bluff View. Hand-cut pastas, fresh sauces, and complimentary bread baked daily. Sit upstairs on the deck if you can — the river and sculpture garden views are stunning. The chicken tetrazzini is a must.

    This is where our welcome party takes place — and it could not be a more fitting spot. Housed in a stunning historic brick building on the Southside with an open kitchen, incredible art throughout, and a warm communal energy that feels made for a gathering.
